1. Agreement

By accessing or using Variant ("the Service"), operated at variant.so, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Variant is an automated A/B testing platform that generates test variants, runs experiments, and promotes winners on your website. The Service includes the Variant SDK, dashboard, and related tools.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must have the right to install Variant on the websites you connect to the Service
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service to collect data in violation of applicable privacy laws

5. Beta Services

Variant is currently in beta. During the beta period, the Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Beta features may change without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The Variant platform, including its code, design, and documentation, is owned by Variant. You retain ownership of your website content and data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to access and modify your web pages solely for the purpose of running A/B tests.

7. Data Ownership

You own all data collected through your use of the Service. We process this data on your behalf to provide experiment results. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Variant shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and we will delete your data within 30 days, unless you request an export.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
